Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones Program

We are inviting participants
from our pilot program to
join our Stepping Stones Program.

Stepping Stones begins to

build bridges between

Our Skills Development Program

and

Mainstream Arts Activities

Judy Baker is one of our much loved tutors
at ArtISability, as a child Judy contracted polo
Judith Baker is well known and well loved in
The Ipswich Arts Community.

 ArtISability is not a destination!

Rather a train station along the
journey of artists with disabilities
can chose to visit and further develop
their artistic skills and industry knowledge.

The next train station artists can chose to visit
is Stepping Stones

Just as Ipswich Train Station enables you
to Access the Ipswich CBD

Stepping Stones enables artists with
disabilities to access the arts community
in the area in which they live.

For those who attended the March
Pilot Program that is Ipswich

We welcome  those who completed the

March ArtISability Program to

The Ipswich Arts Community

As Part of Stepping Stone you can chose to be supported to . . . Enter Art Competitions
Like that hosted by
The Ipswich Show Society
Exhibit and Sell Your Art
Be part of the Ipswich Festival

The Well Being Fair where Nick
From our program shared his passion for the Arts
and creativity as part of
The Ipswich Festival

Or like Clare you might like to continue

developing your artistic skills with support from us

Claire was our 2014 ArtISability

Bursary Recipient and is

currently working with Judith Baker

to develop colour selection in her art work.

Our skills development program which we

ran in March will become known as

Our Foundation Stone Program (FSP)

(A one off program)

Artist will then enter the Stepping Stones Program (SSP)

A train always is moving forward and our SSP

is about moving forward while still being supported

just in a way you might not be used to!

Its a bit like stopping at a new train station.

During Stepping Stones we will explore the
barriers to encounter in accessing the
local arts community. Or if you chose to travel
further afield we can support you to write
grant applications, find accommodation and explore
transport and how to meet your support needs while
you are away. We can also look at your on going
skills development program,
However once you complete our foundation stone
program there is no return train.
