What's New in 2015?

"Community Connections"

Where you make the choices!

It is hoped our community connections program delivers more options, more flexibility and encourages real community engagements for our ArtISability artists. The center piece of this proposal is the introduction of community workshops to the Ipswich Community.  That's right everybody's invited to join in the fun.

We are currently seeking feedback and expressions of interest on our range of program proposals for 2015.

These include:-

  1. ArtISability Unmasked - delivering disability awareness training and awareness to the Ipswich community.
  2. ArtISability Stepping Stones program continues for artist who completed our pilot program. A number of artists are now working towards end of year exhibitions. Our first community professional development workshop is on March 27th @ 1 pm to 3 pm. "Getting Ready for exhibition",.  Participants are invited to bring their artwork and learn how to prepare their work ready for the Ipswich Art Awards season, we can also assist you with paperwork. See Events for more details.
  3. The full foundation stones program (Costs $250 for ten sessions) and will be open to artist living with disabilities and mental illness. This program looks at artistic skills development and professional development of an artists practice. Artists just wanting to come for enjoyment can now attend the sessions they choose without completing the ArtISability course. From July we hope to offer sessions to the general public.
